Background Information

Sandra Kimutai Chelimo is a passionate Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student at Chuka University, currently in her second year and maintaining a Second Class Upper standing. She is deeply committed to legal advocacy, research, and community service, with interests in children’s rights, human rights, and environmental law.

Sandra has participated in several academic and co-curricular initiatives, including the All Kenyan Moot Court Competition (AKMCC), Kenya Model United Nations (KMUN), and the Environment Enterprises & Resources Development Conference. She has also published research on agroecological legal policy in Kenya and interned with Jus Corpus, a global e-journal in law.

She currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Wakili wa Watoto Club at Chuka University and is an active member of multiple legal and advocacy groups including the Human Rights Club, Amnesty International – Chuka Chapter, and the Moot Society.

Her leadership journey includes serving as School Captain at Metkei Girls' High School and Key Mistress at Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy. Sandra is committed to honing her legal research and drafting skills through practical experience and mentorship.
