MoU signing with Sustain Actions at the Dean’s Office
On 4 April 2025, PMW Advocates signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sustain Actions, based in Chuka. Situated in the heart of Tharaka Nithi’s economic hub, Sustain Actions is a Community Based Organisation (CBO) dedicated to conducting joint community outreach programmes aimed at, among other things, providing support for vulnerable populations within the community, including children and individuals living with disabilities.
The signing of the MOU was facilitated by our Managing Partner, Prof. Musili Wambua and Mr. Vitalis Chokera, Chairperson, Sustain Actions. It was witnessed by four other members of the CBO, that is: Dr. Wycliffe Otiso, (Patron) Nick Mutua, (Member) Cornelius Gateri, (Member) and Sandra Kimutai, (Member).
The partnership will strengthen the collaborative relationship between the two organisations, spanning from:
- (i) Joint legal aid, legal research, environmental conservation programmes, and tree planting;
- (ii) Offering psycho-social and advocacy on the elimination of gender-based violence;
- (iii) Community empowerment programmes;
- (iv) Capacity development;
- (v) Joint organisation of educational, scientific and community service events.
Our collaboration with Sustain Actions aligns with our core values regarding corporate social responsibility as we strive to improve lives in communities across Kenya. By supporting empowerment programmes for children and individuals living with disabilities, our firm remains committed to fostering equitable livelihoods and contributing to positive change in society.
We look forward to more opportunities to drive sustainable impact in the society for the benefit of both future and current generations.
